Attractions in Myrtle Beach, S. C. are expecting the best but preparing for the worst this tourist season, keeping a watchful eye on bed bugs, reports WMBF-TV. Hotel staff realizes the potential effects a bed bug outbreak could have on the local economy and, with that in mind, employees are vigilant when searching for bed bugs. David Morisch, of Lanes Professional Pest Elimination, says hotels around the area take bed bugs seriously.
“They realize that the more negative publicity that’s out there the less people might want to stay at their facility.”

When you travel this year, be sure to ask the hotel whether they use mattress encasements to protect their visitors. Protect-A-Bed offers encasements for the boxspring, mattress and pillows that will make sleeping at home or on your vacation truly restful.
