The lodging industry has been struggling with how to deal with bed bugs, with names like Helmsley Enterprises and Hilton Worldwide being among some of the companies affected.

Retail chains have also had issues as well with bed bugs. In an article in The Huffington Post, they discussed why companies like Abercrombie & Fitch and Hollister  temporarily closed their stores in New York locations in order to eradicate bed bug issues.

In a Wall Street Journal blog post routine checks by trained K-9 Bug Detectives are discussed as becoming normal for businesses neighboring buildings that have become infested.

In the same article experts also list several ways to be armed against bed bugs. One recommended way to protect yourself is by buying a mattress protector. Check out Protect-A-Bed’s website for information on mattress protectors to keep your sleep zone safe.

Truely amazing how k9′s can find bed bugs. I hear they can even find 1 live bed bug or 1 live viable egg. Good article, I’ll look for more!
